Fans of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory may know the frustration of dealing with hundreds of mods and customized content on the current servers. Bethesda feels your pain, hearing the cries of all the loyal gamers out there. To make you happier, it’s launched four new official servers with vanilla settings.

Bethesda made the announcement on its official website and on social media. If you select the server “id Software Official Vanilla Server” followed by your respective region, you’ll get to play the vanilla campaign mode with your friends. At the moment, the four regions are the US, Europe, Australia, and the UK.

What this update effectively means is that you can enjoy Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory without all the community mods. With your friends by your side, the map allows for 8v8 PvP battles in the campaign arenas. You’ll also only have the original weapons introduced in the game.

Another juicy piece of news is that Bethesda recently placed a ton of old games on Xbox Games Pass. Is this the fruit of Microsoft buying the company last year? Or perhaps Bethesda just has a new strategy for everyone to enjoy its games.

While Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory isn’t on Xbox Games Pass with the new servers yet, there are other games in the series now available. The two prominent ones are Wolfenstein 3D and Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Perhaps they first need to find a way to get the servers to work on the platform.

It’s great seeing Bethesda still paying attention to old games. Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory finally appeared on Steam after two years. It’s not the only Bethesda game that’s popped on the platform, with Fallout 76 and Elder Scrolls Online joining forces.
